Ampo Poyam Valves supplies over 80 valves to La Calera

Ampo Poyam Valves completed the design, manufacturing and delivery of more than 80 engineered metal seated ball valves for La Calera project in Argentina, which consists in the construction of Central Processing Facilities (CPF) in the Pluspetrol field in Vaca Muerta, province of Neuquén (Argentina).

This new facility will allow Pluspetrol, a leading company in the operation of high-pressure gas fields and the extraction of oil in mature fields, to double its gas production approximately from 5 MMm3/d to 10 MMm3/d and to quadruple liquid production from 1,000 m3/d to 4,800 m3. The new processing plant is now entering its final phase.

Techint was awarded the EPC contract for the development of this Central Processing Facilities and trusted on Ampo Poyam Valves for the design and manufacturing of several forged metal seated ball valves up to 24 inches and 600 lbs.

Whole trim components for this project were hard-faced by tungsten carbide and valve bodies with ENP (Electroless Nickel Plating) coatings to protect valves against wear and corrosion.

"It has been our wide experience in the manufacturing of highly engineered and special valves and our firm commitment to high-performance solutions with our cutting-edge overlay technologies which made Techint and Pluspetrol entrust the award of this contract to Ampo Poyam Valves. And also our fast delivery times for critical products that allowed them to meet their construction schedule," stated Ampo Poyam Valves spokesperson.
